Chapter 1: Amazing

"You see anything yet?" I called up to Joshua, who stood atop a large hill that stood near where we had washed up, looking for ships or something that could save us from this desolate island.

"Whoa! This place is huge!" Was all Joshua could say, looking out over the lagoon. "You should see this mountain up here! It's...Huge!!"

I rolled my eyes. "You see anything that's actually useful?" I asked again, getting impatient. If all he could do was stare at how huge an island was, I surely didn't want him to be my superior anymore.

"Uhm..." He called back down. "Not really. All I see is a bunch of trees and rocks and plants and..Island things.."

"Come on down here then!" I ordered. I began to wonder how long he had been sitting up there. 10 minutes, maybe? A long time to just be sitting up on a hill.

"Fine! It's just..It's so beautiful!" His voice was filled with awe, and I sighed as I saw him stand up and waited for him to slide down the hill.

"You do realize you just wasted 10 minutes that we could have used to be finding ways off this island, right? I mean, seriously, what's so beautiful about an island when your trapped on it? It makes no sense!" I yelled at him.

"How about you go look up there and see?" His voice still had a tint of awe in it.

"Fine!" I stormed up the hill, only to gasp at the sight of what was up there. It..It was beautiful!

"A...Amazing.." I said, my voice awe-stricken, just like Josh's voice when he was up here. I looked back at him. "I almost never want to leave this place.."

"Exactly how I felt.." Joshua replied, smiling at me. I looked back at the lagoon, amazed. It was...I didn't even know how to describe it! It was absolutely amazing!

I stood up there, Josh behind me, staring at the mountains and trees and beaches and seas, afraid it was just a dream, and that I would never see this place again.

  1. What island is that in the image and do you still happen to have the download link to it? It simply looks fantastic.
